Executive Director Tiffany Litman and Assistant Directors Tanya and Sandy attended the 2025 MASE/MASA Spring Conference in the Twin Cities last week. This annual event brings education leaders together to collaborate, reflect, and celebrate the impact of Minnesota schools. A highlight of the conference—Tiffany accepted the MASE New Special Education Leader Award with a powerful speech that left us inspired. At this week’s Year 1 New Teacher Cohort Collaboration, we had the privilege of welcoming several members of our ASEC team to share their expertise and connect with new special education teachers in our member districts. A big thank you to: Jennifer and Gabby, Behavior Support Specialists Alycia, Occupational Therapist Katie, Blind/Visually Impaired Teacher Renee, Assistive Technology Consultant Pam, Deaf/Hard of Hearing Teacher Each of them brought valuable insight and encouragement to the cohort. What an incredible day of collaboration and learning with our amazing ASEC team! We kicked off the day by connecting with colleagues and diving into an inspiring session on Trauma-Sensitive Schools, led by our Behavior Support Team, Jennifer and Gabby. Lunch was followed by a refreshing yoga session with DHH Teacher, Joann—what a great way to reset! The Pine to Prairie Drug Task Force then delivered a highly informative session on Home Visiting Safety, an essential topic for our staff.
