ASEC Interpreters facilitate communication between students who are deaf and their peers, staff, and other adults, using American Sign Language. Educational interpreters provide interpreting and support services (educational tutoring) to students who are D/HH being educated in their local school district. Other duties may be performed when they do not interfere with interpreting, including tutoring, participation in meetings, and being an active member of the school’s educational team.

Last week, we celebrated three incredible members of our ASEC family: Patricia, Joann, and Terri, whose combined service totals an amazing 93 years!
Their dedication, compassion, and commitment to students and families are unmatched. As we looked through old photos and shared stories, it became clear that they are truly irreplaceable.
