ASEC Interpreters facilitate communication between students who are deaf and their peers, staff, and other adults, using American Sign Language. Educational interpreters provide interpreting and support services (educational tutoring) to students who are D/HH being educated in their local school district. Other duties may be performed when they do not interfere with interpreting, including tutoring, participation in meetings, and being an active member of the school’s educational team.
