Learning feels powerful when it connects to what students love!🍟
Each week, Educational Sign Language Interpreter Lea and high school student Aiden lead hands-on cooking lessons that bring ASL, teamwork, and real-life skills together. Before they cook, students review each ingredient and practice the ASL signs. The kitchen fills with communication, collaboration, and confidence.

Executive Director Tiffany, Assistant Director Tanya, and Early Childhood Special Education Teacher Cecily represented ASEC at the UND Career Expo yesterday. This event is one of UND’s largest hiring events of the year and a great opportunity to connect with students exploring careers in education and related service fields.
We loved sharing all about ASEC, highlighting openings across our member districts, and talking with students from all majors who are exploring careers, internships, and field experiences in special education. The future of education is bright, and we’re excited to be part of it! 💙
