Due Process Bootcamp
ASEC's Due Process Bootcamps are one-day workshops tailored specifically for special education teachers with 3+ years of experience. This intensive refresher focuses on reviewing key MDE requirements for both evaluations and IEPs, including PLAAFPs, Measurable Annual Goals/Objectives, Services, Accommodations, Transition, and more. The workshop also covers the basics of evaluation requirements per disability category and the 3-Year Non-Reevaluation process.
Participants will engage in interactive activities, dynamic discussions, and use practical guide documents to support their due process paperwork. Participants are encouraged to bring two current evaluations and two IEPs for self-review during the workshop to CIMP their own paperwork. Developed in alignment with IDEA and the latest MDE compliance standards, this bootcamp is designed to equip special education staff with the knowledge and tools needed for future MDE compliance and monitoring.
